This is Mike Parker at the Saturday night dance at Fort Branch, near Hamilton in Martin County, NC.
      A native of Jones County, Mike has made his home in the historic seaport town of Morehead City for many years. An accomplished guitarist, he took up the fiddle early this milenium. Mike has also played for years with a local period instrumental band, "The Carteret Grays".
      Mike operates a wholesale sutlery, "The Southern Soldier," which supplies mid-1860s apparel to retailers. An array of Mike's products were included in the wardrobe for the 2003 production of Cold Mountain.
