Bryan Craddock March 2008
Bryan Craddock has lived in Cary, N.C. all of his life. After graduating from Cary High School and N.C. State Univerity, Bryan worked in retail sales for 18 years and currently teaches classes in landscaping, history, and clogging.
As founder and Director of the
Hemlock Bluff Cloggers, Bryan offers lessons in clogging through Raleigh Parks and Recreation - classes that have been ongoing for 30 years. While performing with his clogging team in Ireland back in 1994, Bryan purchased his first Irish whistle, and began playing 19th Century tunes almost immediately. In 1998, he joined Co. D, 27th N.C. Regiment, and started playing music at Civil War reenactments with fiddler Troy Parker and bodhran player Scott Douglas.
Bryan has combined his love for dancing and percussion with the hobby of Civil War reenacting and has been performing with the Huckleberry Brothers for several years. He is often seen playing the Irish whistle, bodhran, tambourine, and catpaws while in camp at Civil War living history events.
